Food Grains Impact Statement (2019)
Food Grains Impact Statement (2018)
This year $11,440.55 was donated from the Arva Growing project on behalf of Siloam United Church. We extend our gratitude to the Fraleigh and McClary families for their continued generosity to Canada Food Grains. This donation will be matched by the Canadian Government and will go a long way toward improving the quality of life and food security of people in God’s World.
Siloam United Church has a Canadian Food Grains Bank Project just a few miles north of the church. The land, seed, custom work and herbicides are all being donated. We look forward to making a significant contribution to the Canadian Food Grains Bank.
Food Grains Impact Statement (2017)
Thank you to Mary Jo Fraleigh and Pete & Lynn McClary.
Mary Jo Fraleigh has generously provided a portion of her land over the last number of years for use in growing a crop for donation to Canada Food Grains Bank. Similarly, Pete and Lynn McClary have do- nated crop inputs and custom work over the same period. Again this year, Mary Jo donated the use of her land and Pete and Lynn provided the seed, fertilizer and chemicals and the labor for planting, spraying and harvesting. The result of their generosity is that $5,188.00 was donated to the Canada Food Grains Bank in the name of Siloam United Church. A sincere thankyou is extended to Mary Jo, Pete and Lynn for their generous donation to Canada Food Grains Bank (made on behalf of Siloam United Church) which provides such a meaningful Ministry throughout the developing world.
Lenten Project Impact Statement (2017)
Thank you to the members of Siloam United Church from the Social Justice and Outreach Committee.
The amount raised for Canada Food Grains through the generous donation of Siloam Members is $2,016.25. This is a tremendous accomplishment for our Congregation and even more so when we remember that the Canadian Government matches this and multiplies the amount by four times! This means that our efforts at Siloam will result in $8,065.20 going directly to people in Countries where food security and sustainability are most at risk. Thank you to everyone for your generosity!
